The species was discovered a few years after the notorious nuclear incident in the South Pacific, which merged the DNA of humans with a variety of breeds of dangerous and not so dangerous fish swimming through the area. Many breeds were affected as a privately owned corporation was conducting research on a number of different ocean animals at the time. A book is being written by scientists as we speak.
